About Piltur
The website piltur.is is owned by the company of the same name, Piltur ehf., which is majority-owned by Thorgils Ottar Mathiesen. He also prepares financial forecasts and company valuations that are published on the website.
Thorgils Ottar holds a cand. oecon. degree in business administration from the University of Iceland, as well as a master’s degree from the same school in accounting and auditing, and he became a certified public accountant at the beginning of 2014.
He has worked in the finance, insurance, and real estate sectors, and from the beginning of 2010 until the end of 2024, he was employed at KPMG in Iceland.
Code of Conduct
These rules of procedure are established with reference to the delegated regulation of the European Commission (EU) 2016/958, which was implemented through the Central Bank of Iceland’s Rules on Measures Against Market Abuse No. 977/2024.
Piltur ehf. owns this website, while Thorgils Ottar Mathiesen (hereafter referred to as the analyst) prepares financial forecasts and company valuations published on the site.
Piltur ehf., the analyst, or any persons closely associated with him—as defined in point 26 of Article 3(1) of the Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on market abuse—do not hold any board positions, committee memberships, or other roles, nor do they undertake assignments for the companies discussed on this website or for which forecasts and valuations are prepared. The parties mentioned will stay independent from these companies.
The analyst shall disclose any relationships or circumstances that could reasonably be considered to compromise his objectivity, including any interests or potential conflicts of interest.
The analyst and persons closely associated with him may hold shares in the companies concerned but shall not engage in transactions involving their financial instruments from the time the company’s annual financial statements are published until the related forecast and valuation have been published on this website.
